The Catholic Life Pupil Leadership Group

The Catholic Life Pupil Leadership Group

Our Catholic Life Pupil Leadership Group enables pupils to take an active role in shaping and promoting the Catholic ethos of our school. It brings together four key leadership teams: The Mini Vinnies, The Chaplaincy Team, The Laudato Si' Eco Committee, and pupils undertaking the Faith in Action Award. Through these groups, children are encouraged to grow in faith, serve others and contribute positively to both school and parish life. Whether they are supporting charitable causes, leading prayer and worship, caring for the environment or putting their faith into action through service, our pupil leaders play an important role in living out Gospel values and encouraging others to do the same.

Mini Vinnies

Our Mini Vinnies focus on serving others and living out the principles of Catholic Social Teaching. Inspired by the work of St Vincent de Paul, they seek to make a positive difference within the school, local community and wider world.

The Mini Vinnies lead and support a variety of charitable initiatives throughout the year, including fundraising events, awareness campaigns and our school Foodbank Initiative. Through their work, they encourage pupils to respond to the needs of others with compassion, generosity and a commitment to social justice.

Chaplaincy Team

The Chaplaincy Team helps to nurture the spiritual life of our school community. They play an important role in supporting prayer and liturgy, promoting the mission of the school, and helping pupils to grow in their faith.

Members of the Chaplaincy Team assist with prayer and liturgy and special faith events throughout the year. They work to ensure that the Catholic life of the school is visible, meaningful and welcoming, encouraging all members of the community to live out our shared values and deepen their relationship with God.

Together, the Mini Vinnies and Chaplaincy Team demonstrate how faith can be lived out through both service and spirituality. As leaders within our school community, they are role models who inspire others to follow Christ's example by caring for those in need, celebrating our faith and contributing positively to the life and mission of the school.

Laudato Si' - The Eco-Committee

The Laudato Si' Eco Committee is one of our Catholic Life Pupil Leadership Groups, giving pupils the opportunity to put their faith into action by caring for God's creation. Inspired by Pope Francis' message in Laudato Si', committee members work together to promote environmental responsibility and encourage sustainable choices throughout the school community. They help to lead projects such as recycling initiatives, energy-saving campaigns, litter reduction and caring for our outdoor spaces. By developing awareness, inspiring others and leading by example, our Eco Committee supports our mission to be responsible stewards of the Earth, showing respect and gratitude for the world that God has entrusted to us.

The Faith in Action Group

The Faith in Action Award encourages pupils to put their faith into practice through service, leadership and witness. By reflecting on how they live out Gospel values in their daily lives, pupils develop a deeper understanding of their faith and the positive difference they can make within our school, parish and wider community.
